Even many of his fans were unhappy with Arnold’s comeback when he was “handed” the title despite not being at his best. But check out the above photo by George Butler taken outside the venue in Australia. Even “not at his best,” Arnold’s comeback physique was unreal for that time period.
We’ve mentioned in previous newsletters how Arnold had an instinct for training every muscle from the three critical angles—midrange, stretch, and contracted, what we call POF (positions of flexion). But one thing we’ve noticed…
We’ve never seen photos of Arnold doing sissy squats, the stretch-position exercise for quads. Maybe he didn’t like the name—after all, “sissy” means “girly man.” LOL.
Seriously, he did stretch-position moves for all other muscles—even shoulders as we mentioned in the Zen 21 newsletter.
