In fact, after he stopped competing, the first Mr. Olympia Larry Scott experimented on his biceps. He was always know for long, thick, flat biceps. His favorite go-to biceps exercise: wide-grip preacher curls, an “out” exercise for inner-head mass. Hmm…
During his experiment, he relied more on “in” moves, as well as brachialis-muscle work. And he actually reshaped his biceps, creating more peak.
To be honest, the amount of peak you can ultimately get has a lot to do with your genetics. Could Sergio have built higher peaks? Possibly—with more “in” exercises. But take a look at his son who now competes…
