Elite physiques are determined by genetics and drug response. Period. Good training is figured out through physiology, not looking at what hyper-responders do in the gym. They will grow on anything… What someone does in the gym when they are on 2 to 3 grams of gear a week means nothing. Zero. Zilch.
Well said. I also agree with Paul that 2 to 4 sets per workout for each muscle twice a week is a sweet spot for true muscle growth without steroids.
And if you emphasize the ideal exercise (physiology) for each muscle, you can amplify your gains…
All of that equates to optimal hypertrophy with 35-to-45-minute workouts a few times a week.
