Jonathan: Food Coma Friday

I expected to wake up to a food coma Friday, but I actually didn’t get carried away with the turkey ‘n taters. Desert was limited to just one small slice of pie, too, so I just felt fueled up for a Friday pumpfest…

Legs: Squats (2×15,12); Leg extensions (1×15); Leg Curls (2×15,12)
Chest: DB bench presses (2×15,10); Flat bench flyes (1×12); Incline DB presses (2×12,10)
Back: Chins (2×12,10); Bent-over rows (2×12,10)
Shoulders: DB upright Rows (2×15,10); DB presses (2×12,10)
Calves: Seated calf raises (2×15,12)

Note: My split is based on the Phase 1 routine in The X-traordinary Size Surge Workout 2.0 e-book.

Food Coma Friday Summary

For the past few years, my family has had the great tradition of going out to eat for Thanksgiving dinner. That means no prep, no stress, and no cleaning up. Of course, it also means that we don’t get any leftovers. That’s the only drawback, but we usually solve that by cooking up a small turkey over the weekend anyway, just without the rush of trying to get it cooked at the same exact time as everything else. On the plus side, that also means we don’t have all the other tempting treats laying around. Regardless, I thought it was going to be tough to wake up on and train the day after Thanksgiving, but motivation was high and I knew I had to get myself prepared for going on the hunt for a giant Christmas tree later in the afternoon. The holidays are here!
