POF MMX
For the most part, I really love having a gym in the basement. The only time I have second thoughts is during the stair stumbling that goes on when I’m done with the workout. Stairs to get up to the kitchen to eat afterwards, and more stairs to get up to my office. At least anyone in the house gets a good comedy show when I’m done…
Quads: Squats (3×20,15,12–DP 3X); Sissy squats – bottom (3×8–Xcen) ss Sissy squats – top (3×8 + X Reps)
Hamstrings: Alternate leg curls (3×20,15,10–DP 3X); Stiff-legged deadlifts (3×15,12,10–DP 3X)
Calves: Donkey calf raises (3×50,40,30 + X Reps); Alternate calf raises (3×20,15,10–DP 3X)
Note: My current split is based on the POF MMX Mega-Mass Workout in the new e-book MMX Fast Mega-Mass Workouts–the Max-Muscle X-pansion System.
Summary: With limited equipment, quad work is the only place this week where I’ve stuck with the full DP 3X plus X-cen/standard super sets. Still burns like hell, too. LOL! I changed the sequence for hamstrings so that I was doing Leg curls first. I like that better, and it made for increased feel on the Stiff-legged deadlifts. Calves were on fire, too. Getting up the stairs afterwards wasn’t actually has bad as I made it sound above – it was coming down the stairs 30 minutes later where the comedy show started. Apparently I can move faster than my legs can keep up sometimes. Luckily my old-guy reflexes are still pretty quick, so no face-first falling on the floor. Though my family would’ve really got a kick out of that.
