Flashing back to how exhausted I felt last Monday (first full-body workout), yet how great I was feeling by the end of the week, I figured I was ripe for some fun. Deadlifts for life was my Monday mantra today. I haven’t done genuine deadlifts in ages – and I could tell…
Quads/Hams: Deadlifts (3×15,12,8)
Calves: Alternate calf raises (3×20,15,10 + X Reps)
Chest: Incline DB presses (3×20,12,8 + X Reps)
Lats: Chins (3×15,10,8)
Delts: DB presses (3×15,12,8 + X Reps)
Triceps/Biceps: DB extensions (3×20,10,8) ss Seated DB curls (3×20,10,8)
Abs: Planks (3×60 seconds)
Note: My current split is based on the POF MMX Mega-Mass Workout in the new e-book MMX Fast Mega-Mass Workouts–the Max-Muscle X-pansion System.
Summary
I used to hate deadlifts. For whatever reason, they felt pretty spectacular today. Maybe that’s because I was using them as my quad, hamstring and mid/lowback work. Regardless, they were good, and they were incredibly efficient for Monday midrange madness. Now to go celebrate with a big breakfast with my bride for our anniversary morning.
