I’m completely shocked, dismayed, and saddened by the passing of my friend and colleague Doug Brignole.

His book, The Physics of Resistance Exercise, is a true work of brilliance and a game-changer for my training as well as countless others across the globe…
Doug’s perceptive insight on biomechanics was just beginning to hit its stride in the training world. Even so, it’s safe to say that he made his mark.
I’m sad that he will not be able to carry on and continue to put forth the genius that will be revolutionizing the world of muscle building and sports training for years to come.
I will miss his emails, posts, and interviews. He was relentless at getting his ideas out there, but always tactful and respectful, even to those who attacked his ideas.
We disagreed on a few things, but he always read my latest newsletter and responded with a “you’re absolutely right” or “this is what I think…”
And he complimented my writing style and sense of humor. Glad I got to know him, sad I never got to sit down with him and talk training and life.
Doug, you were an intelligent man who will be sorely missed by me and the entire bodybuilding community. Rest easy, my friend.
