Jonathan: Chest, Back, Abs (paintastic!)

Super-TORQ MMX

With how pumptastic yesterday’s workout was, I had a feeling the results would be paintastic today, and they were. Delts haven’t been this sore in ages, and it’s rare for my biceps to get sore, but if soreness equates to growth, these things are going to be huge! LOL! Based on today’s chest and back work, tomorrow should be very interesting…

Chest: DB incline presses (5×50,40,30,20,10(8)(6)—drop) ss Dips (4×8)
Back: DB rows (5×50,40,30,20,10(6)(6)—drop) ss Chins (4×8)
Abs: Full-range crunches (5×40,40,30,20,15(10)(9)—drop) ss Planks (4×45 seconds)

Summary: Viscous pump, and hard to judge the weight for the DB inclines. Too light at first, though my shoulders were in (good) pain from yesterday’s workout, so that made it even tougher to gauge weight. I wanted to do supersets with Flyes, but that would’ve added time/rest for adjusting the bench, so I did dips instead. Felt great, and chest was feeling like Dolly Parton afterwards. LOL! Back was the same. Easier to choose a weight, but rear delts were sore, so the rowing action was tough at first, but eased up as blood made it’s way into the muscles. By that time, everything else was pumping up, including my lungs. The Chins were tough in the superset, but made for a great back pump from top to bottom and side to side. Great workout with guaranteed soreness on the horizon… Now to look forward to Super-TORQ squats tomorrow morning. That will be “interesting.”
