Super-TORQ MMX
Apparently variation is the name of the game lately, but it’s keeping the motivation high. Today’s workout was pumptastic, but not egotastic. LOL! I went with the excruciating joy of Super-TORQ and tried to keep an MMX twist in the mix…
Delts: DB upright rows (5×50,40,30,20,10(8)(6)—drop) ss Standing laterals (4×8)
Triceps: DB extensions (5×50,40,30,20,10(8)(6)—drop) ss Overhead extensions (4×8)
Biceps: DB curls (5×50,40,30,20,10(8)(6)—drop) ss Incline curls (4×8)
Forearms: Forearm rockers (1×15(12)(10)—drop)
Note: My current split is based on the POF MMX Mega-Mass Workout in the new e-book MMX Fast Mega-Mass Workouts–the Max-Muscle X-pansion System.
Summary: I had forgotten just how insane the pump was from Super-TORQ, but I got a serious reminder this morning. I wanted to feel a searing burn in all muscle groups, and this did the trick! The goal was to keep an MMX flare to it, too, so I increased weight when possible on the last couple of Super-TORQ rounds, and I supersetted each of the first four sets with a stretch exercise (except on delts). Rep cadence also changed a bit through each of the Super-TORQ sets in every sequence, so I managed to hit a variety of rep tempos, tension times, and good-trauma-inducing stretch movements. I could barely move my arms when finished… A pumptastic success!
