It’s winter holiday time, not when we usually think about fat loss. But it’s good to have it in the back of our minds so we don’t overindulge.
I allow myself an ab-shrouding layer, but not so much that it will be hard to shed come the new year. Struggling to button your pants is unacceptable, but no need to maintain this look…
On that note, I’d like to regurgitate (no, I do not have an eating disorder) some rock-solid tips from Dr. James Di Nicolantonio, whom I follow on Instagram (follow at: @drjamesdinic).
1) Eating eggs, chicken, beef, and steak will solve 90 percent of your fat-loss problems.
2) Those “two glasses of wine at night” are preventing you from reaching your goals. Stop drinking alcohol.
3) Three high-protein meals you can make quickly: steak and eggs, protein shake, chicken and veggies.
4) Make protein the biggest part of each meal.
5) Work out five times a week; this is non-negotiable. Combine walking cardio, sprints, and weights.
6) Caffeine is a great weight-loss strategy (caffeine is an appetite suppressant).
7) Combining weights/cardio/sprints is optimal for burning fat.
8) Establish an environment that’ll maximize your success; throw away the ultra-processed junk food.
9) Develop a sleep routine. Quality sleep makes your muscles grow and recover faster while burning fat quicker.
10) Zero-calorie beverages only.
11) Take responsibility; it’s very likely you’re overweight because of poor choices, but you can make a massive transformation.
