Yesterday, I had the first 11 fat-loss tips from Dr. James Di Nicolantonio, whom I follow on Instagram (follow at: @drjamesdinic).
Even though it’s winter, you don’t want to go full-on belly bloat—or you’ll have a tough time getting in shape as spring gets close. Keep the image of abs in your head to prevent you from being mistaken for Santa…
12) If you’re not losing weight, you’re either consuming too many calories or you have hormonal issues.
13) Walk daily—you’ll start shedding fat.
14) It’s better to make the right decisions 80 percent of the time and enjoy yourself than it is to make the right decision 100 percent of the time and hate your life.
15) Weigh yourself just once per week in the mornings; this keeps you accountable.
16) Do some kind of “resistance training” four to five times per week; building muscle makes it easier to keep fat off.
17) You shouldn’t be “starving” when trying to lose weight; high protein will keep you fuller with fewer calories.
18) Don’t overcomplicate it; you don’t need supplements, you don’t need a special diets. Just work out four to five times per week, prioritize protein and eat whole, nutritious foods.
19) 30 minutes per day is all you need to get in fantastic shape.
20) Snacking is killing your progress; either allocate snack calories for yourself or drink water instead.
21) You can’t choose “where” you lose fat in your body; stick to the plan for long enough, and you’ll get exactly where you need to be.
22) I’ll say it again: STOP DRINKING ALCOHOL; it makes everything about your fat loss journey take longer and more difficult.
23) Have 110 percent confidence in yourself that you CAN achieve the physique you desire; if you want it bad enough, there’s nothing stopping you.

But did he say stop drinking wine? Dammit! Maybe after January 1. 😝
