Not many know that Arnold was offered the role of Robin Hood in a feature film, but he turned it down because the director said he couldn’t wear Speedos while robbing from the rich.
Seriously, the shot above is in the off-season, but Arnold’s physique is still plenty impressive.
His pecs are especially prominent, probably because he favored a lot of stretch work for his chest—like dumbbell flyes…
More and more research is proving how important stretch loading is for hypertrophy.
In fact, one recent study discussed in last Sunday’s newsletter found that stretch partials built DOUBLE the mass in one muscle compared to full-range reps or contracted-position partials.
