Christian Thibaudeau is one of the most sought-after coaches by both bodybuilders and top athletes alike. And he’s got a damn good physique as well…
Here’s an important quote from him that he posted on his IG feed: @christian.thibaudeau.thibarmy…
An enhanced lifter training mostly in the traditional hypertrophy zones can use around 25 to 30 percent more volume than natural lifters.
So anabolic drug use produces quite a gap in volume tolerance, not to mention the speed at which hypertrophy occurs.
And I’m sure he’s talking about moderate use of PEDs, not the off-the-charts pro-bodybuilder regimens, which would send that percentage even higher…
To put it in concrete terms, if basic ‘roid man gains best with 20 sets per muscle each week, your drug-free muscles should grow best with around 14, which is seven per workout twice a week—or even fewer if you’re recovery challenged and/or older.
Bonus quote from the Unknown Philosopher: “A foolish man complains of his torn pocket, while a wise man uses it to scratch his balls.”
Do the best with the hand—and pocket—you’ve been dealt.
