Arnold’s pecs are especially impressive in the photo above, and it’s no secret that he favored a lot of stretch work for his chest—like dumbbell flyes…
More and more research is proving how important stretch loading is for hypertrophy.
In fact, one recent study found that stretch partials, like the bottom third of the stroke on flyes, built more mass than full-range reps or contracted-position partials.
