Arnold went to extremes to get his protein allotment. Here he hijacks a Wendy’s uniform and sneaks back to the grill to chow on free burgers…
We’re not sure why Arnold is at a Wendy’s in Columbus, Ohio, but it makes for another cool retro pic. And look at the Oak’s arm!…
It’s interesting that one of Arnold’s favorite biceps routines shaped the Positions-of-Flexion mass-training method (see the OMYM ebook). POF hits each muscle from three distinct angles, or positions—midrange, stretch and contracted…
Of course, his incredible genetics factored in as well, especially when it came to sky-high biceps. Even so, he benefited from training a muscle with unique lines of force and different torque curves—stretch, contracted, etc.
Arnold is still at it today at age 75; however, he now uses a more abbreviated program. His workouts last a bit over half an hour each, and he begins each muscle with a high-rep set, a method we also use every workout (STX).
Till next time, train hard—and smart—for BIG results.
