Here’s a vintage shot of Arnold blow-drying his hair to “Staying Alive” by the Bee Gees and contemplating changing his name to Tony.

You can see that Arnold’s physique was not much to write home about most off-seasons. Can you say “glazed doughnut?”

But when he zeroed in on a contest, his body morphed quickly. His best onstage ripped bodyweight was around 230 pounds standing 6’2”…

According to former Iron Man publisher John Balik, who lived and trained with Arnold back in the day, within a couple of weeks of shifting to multi-angle training and introducing just a small amount of anabolics, his physique transformed in weeks, not months.

He looked like a different person due to superior anabolic receptors.

It’s like he was born to be the greatest bodybuilder of all-time and be known by a single monicker: Arnold (not Tony).
