Maybe Arnold wasn’t at his best in Aussieland, but you have to convincingly “knock out” the champ. According to many in attendance, the other competitors didn’t quite have the goods overall to do that.
What’s cool now is that Arnold is still training. Here’s an interesting comparison of how he looked in his prime vs. how he looks at age 75…
Not bad for the aging geezer-schnitzel. And he often uses many of the tactics from his heyday, like stretch emphasis.
Plus, videos of him training now show him still attacking exercises with a Speed Set cadence, which is about 1.5 seconds per rep. Including stretch moves and Speed Sets can up muscle mass significantly if you use them correctly…
For more on how to use stretch and Speed Sets alongside the ideal size-building exercise for each muscle in quick, efficient mass workouts, see Old Man, Young Muscle.
Till next time, train hard—and smart—for BIG results.
