Eight-time Mr. Olympia Lee Haney’s intensity secret: insanely tight headbands that sent him into a rage.
Another dumb joke from geezer central, but we have high respect for Lee—and it’s not just due to his Mr. O victories…
The man is now in his 60s, still trains hard, and has zero injuries. None! He’s still training hard and looks great, and his famous quote tells us why…
Exercise to stimulate, not annihilate.
Great advice. Consider that many Mr. Olympias who used mega-heavy poundages can’t train without severe pain. In fact, a number of them had to retire early and some are nearly crippled.
Check out this great shot of Lee in the gym in his prime…
We suggest getting on the stimulate-don’t-annihilate bandwagon before it’s too late. Start emphasizing the biomechanically correct best exercises for each muscle in your workouts pronto….
And the STX method, with its moderate poundages and short rests, can help too (another subtle shameless plug for out new ebook—more info below).
Till next time, train hard—and smart—for BIG results.
