Here’s a rare photo of Arnold preparing to pummel the guy who was stealing pants around Gold’s Gym…
Seriously, look at the thickness of the Oak’s arms. Arguably, one of his most impressive body parts—although some housekeepers may disagree…
It’s interesting that one of Arnold’s favorite biceps routines helped shape the original Positions-of-Flexion mass method, which has been updated by emphasizing the ideal, or ultimate, exercises (see the new Ultimate-Mass Exercise Guide, free with the OMYM2 ebook).
That would be standing or seated dumbbell curls as the ideal, incline curls for stretch, and concentration curls for contraction.
And Arnold still trains today at age 75, using half-hour workouts and beginning each muscle with a high-rep set…
Which is right in line with the STX method—high-rep set followed after a short rest by a lower-rep Speed Set for optimal fast-twitch activation.
Till next time, train hard—and smart—for BIG results.
