Here’s a rare shot of Arnold arriving at his son’s basketball game. He planned to ref, but the organizers said it would be too distracting—his accent is pretty thick.
Actually, we’re not sure where this is, but back in the day, many bodybuilding contests were held in basketball gyms—which is ironic because as steroid use increased, there were no balls in bodybuilding.
Back to Arnold as a distraction: His physique was even distracting to the bodybuilding world because he was one of the biggest physiques anyone had seen at that point.
We always mention that one of his secrets for getting there was including stretch exercises, like flyes for his ponderous pecs and donkey calf raises. Here he is making an ass, er um, donkey of himself in the gym to mass up his calves…

Till next time, train hard—and smart—for BIG results.
