Here’s a rare security cam still of Arnold saying bye-bye to his blankie as a robber pillages his home. Luckily, the crook was caught, “Schnitzel” was found unharmed, and Arnold was able to sleep soundly once again…

Seriously, we’re not sure where this photo came from. It may be a still from Arnold’s appearance on the TV crime show “Streets of San Francisco.” In the episode, Arnold’s character flies into a rage when a woman laughs at his bodybuilding poses. (Google it—hilarious)

Arnold’s size has always been impressive, with a lot of that due to his instinct for building mass in the gym…

For example, we’ve mentioned that Arnold rarely used a slow rep cadence—his reps were almost always rapid-fire, what we call Speed Sets. Benefits to those piston-like sets include…

1) the turnaround, where you move from the negative stroke to the positive, is more abrupt, which activates the stretch reflex for more fast-twitch fiber involvement.

2) reduced damage from “garbage negatives,” the slow lowering on each rep, which has fewer growth effects and results in more hypertrophy-smothering trauma.

3) quicker fast-twitch involvement in the early reps due to speed of movement—you can’t move fast without some fast-twitch activation.

Arnold didn’t know all of that; he simply had an innate ability to hit on the things that produced his Jurassic mass, as you can see in this reptilian most muscular pose (Art Zeller photo)…
